About this color memory game
The color memory game trades guesswork for rhythm. Four numbered pads sit in a square, and each round they flash a sequence of colors. Watch the sequence, then repeat it in order by tapping the pads or pressing the number keys 1–4. Each pad has its own number, color and shape, so you can follow the rhythm by position, number or hue — whichever is easiest for you to hold.
How a run grows
The first sequence is a single color. Repeat it correctly and the next round adds one more, so the sequence keeps growing for as long as you keep it straight. Tap the wrong pad and the run ends: the full sequence is revealed so you can see where it slipped, along with the number of colors you completed in order. That number is your score for the run — the longest sequence you finished, up to thirty-two in a perfect run — and Try again starts over from a single color.
Controls and records
Play with taps or the keys 1–4. A counter in the middle of the board shows how long the current sequence is while it plays. Sound is optional and starts off; each pad has its own tone when it is on. Switching tabs during a sequence pauses the game, and resuming replays the sequence from the start. Your best result is kept in this browser, and Clear best removes it.
